Botanical name: Anigozanthos hybrids

This tender perennial is a clump-forming evergreen that produces fuzzy, tubular flowers that bloom from spring through fall. Many sizes and varieties are available including yellow, pink, or red flowers. This plant does best in full sun with well draining, sandy soil. It tolerates coastal areas as well as warm inland valleys. It needs regular watering. Flowers attract hummingbirds.

This perennial will grow 2'-4' tall and has large, glossy green leaves with beautiful cream or white flowers with a central yellow "finger" that bloom in spring and sometimes even summer. Calla Lily prefers full sun or afternoon shade in warm, inland areas. It prefers rich, moist soil and does well near water features or boggy conditions. Cally Lily is beautiful for cut flowers.

This perennial will grow 1'-2' tall and 1.5' wide. It has medium sized, broad, purple leaves that have a silver sheen. Tiny white flowers appear on thin stems above the foliage in late spring and early summer, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. This mounding plant tolerates coastal areas, filtered sun and partial shade. Give afternoon shade in warm, inland areas. It does best with regular watering and well draining soil. Great plant for cottage gardens, woodland settings and perennial borders.
