Botanical name: Salvia clevelandii 'Winnifred Gilman'

The 'Winifred Gillman' Sage is a dense, compact shrub that grows to 4'-5' tall and wide, and has a round form. It has blue purple flowers in spikes above the foliage in summer. This sage has gray aromatic foliage. Plant in full sun with well draining soil. It is drought tolerant once it's established but will look better with occasional deep watering.

Leaves are deciduous, dark green and grouped in 3 leaflets that can grow 6" long and 1.2" wide. Watch out for thorns on leaves. Large brown pods appear after bloom period, creating litter. It does best in full sun and will need occasional deep watering once it's established. It can tolerate temps to 20 degrees F. Prune spent flowers once a year to improve next year's bloom and keep size to your liking. Trunk grow crooked and has dark furrowed markings. It tolerates coastal conditions, sandy and loam soil. This small, deciduous tree with a rounded head is covered with small flowers of a rose pink color in the spring before the appearance of heart-shaped leaves. It can grow to 25' tall with an equal spread. It has a low branching habit with a rounded form. During fall, foliage turns yellow. Eastern Redbud lives about 20 years. This is a great patio tree or for a small front yard.

Petite Pink Oleander

Botanical name: Nerium oleander 'Petite Pink'

Oleander is an evergreen shrub with moderate to fast growth. Leaves are narrow, 4"-12" long, dark green, leathery, and glossy, which are attractive in all seasons. Flowers are in clusters on branch ends which bloom from late spring through fall. 'Petite Pink' grows 3'-6' high and wide with pink blooms.
