The 'Prostratus' grows to a height of 2'-3' with a spread to 8'. Its flowers are pale, lavender-blue in color starting in fall through winter and spring, attracting bees. Evergreen foliage is needle-like and aromatic with a dark, blue-green color. This plant makes a good ground cover, and its leaves can be used as seasoning in cooking. This ground cover like full sun and well draining soil. It is drought tolerant once it's established.

This attractive deciduous shrub will grow 4'-10' tall and 5' wide. Branches start at the ground and rise up, spreading gracefully. Leaves are green and simple. The shrub produces pea-like, yellow or cream, fragrant flowers that bloom in early spring. After bloom period, pea-shaped, green fruit appear turning black. Flower buds and flowers can be eaten and some folks put them in their salads. This shrub does best in full sun with regular watering. It can be used to stabilize a hillside.

This evergreen shrub grows to 4'-6' tall and wide. It has leaves that are narrowly pinnate, forming feathery sprays of silvery foliage. Its showy yellow flowers appear at branch tips from late winter through early summer. A very tough plant, this variety will survive under desert conditions or near the coast. It will even tolerate clay soils if kept dry during the summer. The plant is damaged below 20 degrees F.
