The Purple Sage is an evergreen shrub that grows 2'-3' tall by 5'-6' wide. It has white tomentose stems and leaves and light lavender purple flowers blooming in late spring. This shrub tolerates heat and drought. The purple sage is a CA native, preferring full sun. Do not overwater. This Sage is great for covering difficult slopes. Foliage is aromatic.

It is a short lived plant but makes up for its shorter life with more color than most plants.

Sugar Bush is a dense, rounded evergreen shrub growing 8'-15' tall and wide with creamy flowers in spring. Small red fruit follows blooms, which are edible. It grows well in inland areas and is drought tolerant. Leathery, rich, dark foliage is evergreen. It prefers full sun and well draining soil. It is drought tolerant once it's established although it could use additional irrigation in hot summer areas. Do not plant in wet areas.

The Coast Live Oak is an evergreen, round-headed tree with regal bearing. It can reach 25'-80' high and 25-40' wide and grows very well from the coastal areas to the interior valleys. Strong herculean branches adorn mature trees casting much appreciated summer shade. It attracts wildlife in droves.
