This small tree reaches 20' tall and wide. It does best in rich, fertile, well draining, moist soil with full to part sun. It does not tolerate frost however, there are some cultivars that may survive cold winters. Leaves are deciduous, green and large and lobed. It produces wonderful figs that are green, turning brownish red color in late summer or early fall. Fallen fruit is messy. Mature trees have smooth, silvery bark. Considered invasive in California.

This groundcover-small shrub will grow 1' tall, spreading 4' in a year. It has medium-size green leaves with lavender that have a dark purple center. The flower color changes to white the next day! The flowers bloom in fall and winter but in mild coastal areas, may bloom all year. It needs well draining soil. This plant looks great on a hillside or in a hanging basket. Botanical name: Lantana montevidensis

Lavender flowers accent the trailing growth habit of this Lantana. It is excellent for spilling over walls or down banks. Eventually, it will reach about 2' tall by 6' wide; size is controlled by pruning and severity of winter. It does best in full sun and is drought tolerant. It grows rapidly, even in heat, smog and poor soil. It is cold hardy to 25 degrees F, but recovers quickly. Fruit is poisonous. Butterflies are attracted to Lantana.

This dependable shrub with bright yellow, daisy-like flowers, blooms almost year-round. Its leaves are grey-green in color and divided. This shrub can reach 6' tall and wide. It is very hardy and does well in full sun and well draining soil. When established, it is drought tolerant. Prune when flowers start to fade. The branches are wonderful in flower arrangements. This shrub tends to show its branches at the bottom so plant something low growing like Basket of Gold alyssum.
